Pi Clock

pickurnose

You’d think that a normal clock would suit you just fine. And if you wanted to know the time overseas you could just visit the internet. But…. the Pi Clock can do more. Not only does it showcase the weather of your surroundings it also displays a radar map, the Weather data comes from Weather Underground using their API. The maps are from Google Maps API. You must get an API Key from weather underground in order to make this work. It is free for low usage such as this application.

The PiClock also comes with a number of customisable options:

RGB LED strips (NeoPixel) to create an ambilight effect
GPIO buttons for changing the view
IR Remote Control for changing the view
Streaming the NOAA weather radio stream for your area
